July Garden Party
This year's Garden Party took place on a surprisingly sunny day in the gardens of Fairfield, Vicarage Road.
This wonderful garden is an annual highlight of the Open Gardens each year, and thirty four members and prospective members were treated to the spectacular views over the rolling fields amongst the eclectic and sumptuous collection of summer flowers.
The food, as usual provided by members and expertly organised by Trish Turner, included a variety of salads and whole food quiches (courtesy of Liz Clowes' new flirtation with Amy Chaplin's book) with meats from the Model Stores. Dessert was ice-cream with strawberries and blueberries.
A very pleasant quiz was provided by our hosts, Mr and Mrs Mackness, which was a word search for garden weeds - usual and unusual.
