Past Events

September is usually a quiet month for the Twinners with many of them taking holiday this month. However, the September meeting brought out 35 of us to enjoy a tasty lasagne meal followed by a wide selection of cheeses. Or was it the fact that our committee had organised a wine tasting evening? Sounds more like it.

Matt Chamberlain, assistant manager of Majestic Wines in Totnes, had come along to talk to us and bring several bottles of red, white and rose for us to sample. Matt described the wines, their countries of origin, the grapes used and, naturally, how little they cost at his store.

We finished the evening with our heads filled with facts and the bottles emptied.
