Twinning Family Fun day at the Cricket Club

The village Twinning Association's June meeting took the form of a Family Fun Day and Barbecue at the cricket club. We had wonderful weather for the 20 members who attended.

We were treated to a welcome drink followed by a barbecue expertly cooked by members Di and Terry Reed with summer salads and puddings prepared by other members.

Entertainment was provided not only by us watching our grandchildren playing on the field but by afterwards joining in various games - boules, croquet, quoits, football, giant jenga and bagatelle. Richard Whiffin proved that he was an expert on the latter, betraying a misspent youth!

Thanks were given by chairman Sandra Eales before the afternoon came to an end.
